Our highly effective one-on-one instruction takes place in the convenience of your own home - or in a preferred location such as a library - focusing on academic improvement and building confidence. We strive to provide our programs in a professional, flexible and results-oriented manner, that cater to the needs and schedules of the students and families we serve. The Academic Advantage has tutors available year-round, 7 days a week, for morning, afternoon or evening sessions. We keep ourselves flexible so our students can schedule sessions around other important after-school and weekend activities.

Our pre- and post-assessments are carefully designed to pinpoint the strengths and weaknesses of each student. To promote academic improvement and excellence, a precise assessment instrument, completely aligned with state content standards and grade-level expectations, is given to each student to determine their academic level and to track progress.

Based upon the pre-assessment score, our tutors analyze the data for use in crafting an individualized learning plan for each student. Targeted for student improvement on identified state academic learning standards and grade-level expectations, The Academic Advantage tutoring plan prepares students for ongoing academic success with a carefully navigated roadmap of lessons for skill mastery of all targeted standards.
